Hinduism in Pakistan

There are also followers of Hinduism in Pakistan. The Rig Veda, an ancient Hindu text was believed to have been composed in the Punjab region several thousand years ago and spread from there to much of South Asia slowly developing and evolving into the various forms of the faith we see today. Hindus today number around 3 million or about 1.6%. Hinduism in Pakistan is unique in that there is no rigid form of caste distinction amongst its adherents and as such, is more egalitarian in nature. According to the last census 93% of Hindus live in eastern Sindh, 5% in Punjab and nearly 2% in Balochistan.
